WHY DID GOD CURSED AFRICANS? PART NINE, What is responsible for the black skin color of most Africans? In regions farther from the equator, where sunlight is less intense, lower levels of pigmentation can facilitate the production of vitamin D from limited ultraviolet radiation. In this way, differences in skin pigmentation can be understood as adaptations to different environments. Melanin is not a curse. It is a biological trait. It is part of the remarkable adaptability of the human body. And the diversity of human skin tones is not evidence that one group of humanity was created superior to another. It is evidence of the extraordinary biological diversity contained within our common humanity. The biblical story, meanwhile, presents humanity as coming from a common ancestral family. Genesis 10 describes the nations spreading across the earth. Modern genetics describes human populations spreading from Africa and diversifying as they migrated into different parts of the world.....
