From the perspective of the biblical genealogies, however, these peoples were distant relatives. Both ultimately descended from Noah. Both emerged from the same post-Flood human family. The Bible's genealogies therefore present humanity as a family that expanded into different peoples and nations—not as separate human creations. Then came Babel. Genesis 11 tells us that God confused the languages of humanity and scattered the people across the face of the earth.....
