WHY DID GOD CURSE AFRICANS? PART 4: THE DESCENDANTS OF HAM AND THE NATIONS OF THE EARTH According to Genesis Chapter 9 Verse 25, Regardless of which interpretation one accepts, one fact remains unmistakably clear: The curse falls upon Canaan—not Ham. The text leaves no room for confusion. Noah says: "Cursed be Canaan." He does not say: "Cursed be Ham." "Cursed be Ham's descendants." "Cursed be Africa." Furthermore, Canaan did not settle in Africa. He settled in the land that came to bear his name—the region corresponding to present-day Israel and Palestine. The Canaanites, Hittites, Amorites, Perizzites, Jebusites, and other peoples of that region were descendants of Canaan.
