WHY DO GOD CURSED AFRICANS? PART 10, When Abraham's lie about Sarah is eventually discovered—Abraham had claimed that Sarah was his sister so that he would not be killed because of her—it is Pharaoh who confronts him and sends him away with all his possessions intact. In that episode, the Egyptian ruler demonstrates remarkable moral integrity. The Bible does not make a negative statement about the Egyptian people in this passage. Then Egypt becomes the place where Joseph rises to power and saves not only Jacob's family but much of the ancient world during seven years of famine. In Genesis 41, Pharaoh recognizes that the Spirit of God is with this young Hebrew and gives him authority over the entire land of Egypt. Pharaoh gives Joseph his signet ring, dresses him in fine linen, places a gold chain around his neck, and has him ride in the second chariot. Those riding ahead of Joseph proclaim:....
