Genesis 5 tells us that Noah was 500 years old when he began to have sons. Although the Bible does not explicitly state the order of their births, Genesis 10:21 suggests that Japheth may actually have been the oldest. What is certain is that all three were adults and married when the Flood came. Each man carried the beginning of a branch of humanity. Each woman aboard the ark carried within her the genetic potential for entire populations that did not yet exist. The Flood lasted 150 days before the waters began to recede.....
