The Portrait That Changed Every Midnight : (Chapter 2 &3)

Narrated by Jane Smith · 2:05

THE PORTRAIT THAT CHANGED EVERY MIDNIGHT. Chapter 2: The First Change. Unable to believe what she had seen, Elena convinced herself exhaustion had played tricks on her mind. The next morning, she compared the portrait with the photographs she had taken the previous evening. They were different. The woman's hands had changed position. One finger now pointed toward a locked wooden door hidden behind the mansion's library shelves. Driven by curiosity, Elena forced the door open. Inside she discovered an untouched room containing old journals, faded letters, and newspaper clippings about the mysterious disappearance of the mansion's original owner and his daughter fifty years earlier. Every record ended the same way. "Case Unsolved." That evening, Elena decided to stay awake and watch the portrait.
