THE BOY WHO BORROWED TOMORROW Chapter 7: The Day That Never Came Beyond it stood the legendary Clock of Tomorrow, surrounded by endless darkness. As Elias stepped toward it, a familiar voice whispered from inside the clock. His mother's voice. "Elias... if you are hearing this, then I failed to protect you." He stopped. The voice continued. "But there is something I never told you." The clock began to glow. "I never borrowed tomorrow to save your father." A pause. "I borrowed it..." "...to save you." The Clock of Tomorrow opened with a sound like thunder.....
