THE BOY WHO BORROWED TOMORROW Chapter 2: A World One Day Ahead The morning sun felt wrong. Elias stood in the middle of the ancient temple, his lantern extinguished, his heart pounding. "I... borrowed tomorrow." The golden clock was gone. Only an empty stone chamber remained. He rushed outside. The Whispering Forest looked the same, yet everything felt strangely unfamiliar. The birds sang different melodies. Flowers that had been buds the previous evening were now in full bloom. Even the air carried a scent he had never noticed before. He ran toward Ashvale Village. As he reached the first cottage, panic spread through the streets. Villagers hurried from house to house, whispering in fear. "What happened?" Elias asked.
